Do you ever find yourself trying to describe a great orgasm to loved ones and you couldn’t really find the right words to do it justice? Do you end up attempting a wild pantomime instead? We have.
Trying to pin down something as powerful, explosive, wild (we could go on and on…) as orgasms can be difficult. Especially since each person’s experience is so unique, it can be hard to share that feeling with someone else.
That’s why at Lioness, we have been committed to demystifying and destigmatizing female sexuality with science, research, and our specially designed Lioness Vibrator. In the past, we shared our findings on orgasm patterns with you, and now we’d like to take an artistic approach.
So, why art?
To Liz, Lioness Co-Founder and CEO, combining science, art, and sexuality comes naturally. Before founding Lioness, she used to be an artist and created works related to gender and sexuality. During that time, she frequently found that, while many models she worked with had initial insecurities about their bodies, reservations quickly faded when they saw the finished product. They were able to step back and see their bodies as works of art.
Liz wanted to bring this sense of self-reflection and self-expression to Lioness and so, ARTGASM was born!
Introducing ARTGASM!
There’s an artist inside every one of us.
ARTGASM is an avant-garde art experience that explores the multi-faceted and, at times, complex subject of sexuality. Everyone’s pleasure is unique and one of a kind and ARTGASM directly translates those feelings into dynamic visuals.
Remember those orgasm patterns we shared in October? We’ve made these special patterns into unique pieces of art too:
So how did we make these pieces? With the Lioness Vibrator, of course! Well, and a couple of willing volunteers.
Powered by unique biofeedback technology, the Lioness Vibrator senses and records masturbation sessions and maps out sexual arousal, even orgasms. We reached out to a number of Lioness users and gave them the opportunity to transform their session data into dynamic pieces of art.
Each piece presented here is unique and personally tailored to the individual’s experience. We wanted ARTGASM to be a new and fun way to visualize pleasure.

It’s often easy to talk about sex and hard to talk about sexuality, especially for women. What we enjoy or not and how it changes over time is a subject of taboo.
